Chris Ganley is the Director of Development for American Power Ventures, where he oversees the firm’s asset management efforts and implements all stages of project development activities. Mr. Ganley has over twenty-five years of experience developing new projects and managing operating projects in the power generation sector. Mr. Ganley’s accomplishments include the development and asset management of gas-fired and solid-fuel projects throughout the U.S with extensive experience in PJM, ISO-NE, and NYISO. Recently, he was Vice President of Competitive Power Ventures where he led the development of natural gas-fired, waste coal, and renewable energy projects within PJM and CAISO.
Mr. Ganley has negotiated numerous contracts with service providers, including power contracts and interconnection agreements with utilities. He has developed and managed utility-scale projects for both IPPs and utilities. As a part of the development of these projects, he has managed and obtained permits from federal, state, and local agencies. In his role as an asset manager within the IPP and utility industries, he was responsible for the oversight and management of operating power facilities with annual earnings of nearly $1 billion. Throughout his career, Mr. Ganley has earned a reputation for delivering exceptional results that exceed client objectives.
Mr. Ganley earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, an MBA from the University of Maryland and Certifications in Financial Management and Management Accounting.
